The atmosphere at La Perla is definitely festive, especially on weekends, when the bucking mechanical red pepper in the front window has a steady stream of riders. The menu is about what you'd expect from a Mexican restaurant – combo plates of tacos, burritos, enchiladas and the like – but it's all quite tasty, and a few of the more authentic dishes are excellent. Margaritas are the beverage of choice, and the tequila menu alone is over 100 bottles long. The back patio is heated and covered, so dining outdoors is nearly always an option.
