Housed in what was once the Pabst Brewery Saloon, Ristorante Bartolotta has been a popular purveyor of Northern Italian cuisine since the early 1990s. The comfortable dining room features natural wood and brass, with an exposed wood burning oven. Starters include asparagus with white truffle fontina sauce, steamed mussels in a spicy tomato sauce, and carpaccio with arugula and capers. In addition to a daily risotto special, the menu features wonderful handmade pastas, such as spinach and ricotta ravioli with brown butter and Parmesan. Seafood dishes are also good – try the salmon with black olive sauce, or the grilled mixed seafood. The restaurant hosts sepcial events throughout the year, including a "dinner and a movie" series, and wine-tasting dinners. |
